YouTube Begins Testing New Feature Named “Hype” in Turkey
YouTube has started testing a new feature named “Hype” in Turkey. This feature, which is now being tested in Turkey, operates similarly to the like button.
The world’s most popular online video platform, YouTube, has begun testing a new feature called “Hype.” This feature, named “Hype,” aims to highlight videos from relatively smaller content creators. Similar to the like button on YouTube, the Hype feature is designed to enhance visibility.
The new feature in testing phase by YouTube has been activated for content creators with fewer than 500,000 subscribers. Users who click on the Hype button in a video will help promote it further. However, unlike the like button, the Hype button will not be used to prioritize search results or appear in the explore tab.
Upon checking, we found that YouTube’s Hype feature is indeed being tested in Turkey. However, none of our team members at Webtekno have encountered it yet. Screenshots shared in local media confirm its existence, indicating that the new feature is being tested with a limited user base.

YouTube’s new feature seems to be a significant milestone for content creators aiming to reach a larger audience. However, the exact timeline for when this feature will be available to all users remains uncertain.
