YouTube, the social media platform, has revamped content creators’ channel page designs on its TV application. In a short video released today, YouTube announced the changes made to content creators’ pages, focusing on providing a more immersive layout that “highlights the most relevant content” and makes accessing the Subscribe button easier.
According to a recent post by YouTube CEO Neal Mohan, the redesign came shortly after the company disclosed new data showing over 400% growth in watch times for top content creators who predominantly receive views on TVs in the last three years. Content creators are likely to respond positively to changes aimed at increasing subscriber counts and better showcasing their content on the big screen.
YouTube had previously stated that the changes to artist pages, including integrated voice search in the search bar, redesigned navigation menus, the addition of a new vertical video information menu, and a larger YouTube makeover with bigger thumbnails, are part of the update.
The company stated that the update has been rolled out to all content creators but may take a few weeks to be available to all viewers. It was noted that the changes only affect channel pages on TV.
