Chrome’s New Power Trio: Lens, Tab Compare, and Smart History Search!

Chrome is stepping up its game with three innovative features set to transform your browsing experience. Google announced on Thursday that the desktop version of Chrome will soon include Gemini-powered features: Desktop Lens, tab comparison, and natural language search for browsing history.

Desktop Lens: A New Era of Visual Search

After its success on mobile, the Lens feature is finally coming to desktops. Users can access Lens via the address bar or the three-dot menu, allowing them to select sections of a webpage for detailed queries. Identify objects in images and find similar products with ease. You can also access AI Overview for comprehensive answers. This feature will be available globally in the coming days.

Tab Compare: Smart Shopping Made Easy

The new Tab Compare feature offers a smart summary of similar products across different tabs, showcasing product details, features, prices, and ratings all in one place. This tool aims to simplify your shopping experience and will roll out to Chrome users in the upcoming weeks.

Smart History Search: Rediscover Your Browsing Journey

With AI-powered natural language queries, you can now search through your browsing history effortlessly. This feature will launch for U.S. users in the coming weeks, enabling you to find places or products you viewed last week quickly. Google emphasizes that user data remains private and secure with this new tool.
