YouTube Introduces AI-Powered “Jump Ahead” Feature for Premium Users

YouTube officially rolled out its AI-powered “Jump Ahead” feature to Premium users.

In March, YouTube began testing a method that allows users to skip to the most engaging parts of a video, using a combination of user viewing data and AI predictions. The test has now exited the beta phase and is currently available to Premium users, initially on Android only.

This feature, which will appeal to those looking to skip past ad-filled beginnings of videos, is currently enabled for users in the United States watching videos in English. Let’s take a look at how this feature works and how it might encourage users to sign up for YouTube Premium.
