WediaCorp Partners with Istanbul Gelişim University for an Outstanding Media Festival

In a groundbreaking move, WediaCorp has signed an external stakeholder agreement with Istanbul Gelişim University’s Radio, Television, and Cinema department. This collaboration was solidified during a visit to WediaCorp’s office on February 22 by faculty members Dr. Güler Canbulat and Dr. Selda Tunç Subaşi, who engaged in fruitful discussions with key members of our core team.

The partnership came to life during the Istanbul Gelişim University’s “International Media and Short Film Festival,” held on May 29-30, 2024. The festival, directed by Dr. Özlem Tuğçe Keleş, featured a dynamic lineup of workshops and talks, curated by an impressive organizing committee including Dr. Nisa Gülener Yıldırım, Dr. Aysun Kaya Deniz, Dr. Güler Canbulat, Dr. Selda Tunç Subaşi, and Research Assistant Bilge İpek.

As a significant partner of the university’s Radio, Television, and Cinema Department, WediaCorp played an active role in the festival. Our General Manager, Gözde Kocaay Karatosun, and Head of Digital, Erman Gülgeç, led a captivating “Digital Media Management” workshop, moderated by Dr. Güler Canbulat. They shared invaluable insights into the digital media landscape, highlighting WediaCorp’s pivotal role in shaping the industry.

The festival was a haven for cinephiles and media enthusiasts, offering a deep dive into the world of short films and providing a platform to learn from industry experts and network with peers. It was a true celebration of creativity and storytelling, showcasing cinematic brilliance and media excellence.
